1802年,距今兩百多年前,William Hyde Wollaston 在研究鉑礦石的過程中,從提煉鉑金屬後的王水殘留液中,發現了一種未知的金屬元素。同年三月,一顆名以智慧女神命名的小行星 Pallas 被發現,因此這種未知的金屬元素便被命名為「鈀 (Palladium)」。 |
